Truthfully I am not really looking forward to any big cities and if I can avoid them I will. I am sort of stuck going through Las Vegas so I can reach the Hoover Dam and then on to the Grand Canyon.
The Hoover Dam - Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin Roosevelt. Its construction was the result of a massive effort involving thousands of workers, and cost over one hundred lives. The dam was controversially named in honour of President Herbert Hoover.
Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Arches National Park Glen Canyon, Lake Powell and Monument Valley all geological wonders I can't wait to see.
